One of our best buds from Detroit is in town this week. Scott is THE man. He has one of the best record collections and always plays great stuff. He and Mike Trombley throw the Macho City party together in Detroit and it's one of the best parties there. Scott just put out a record for Rush Hour which you can check out here: Secret Fixes Mixes

hopefully you are still in party mode from the 4th of july.

this week is special, only the residents of fender bender, chupacabras and speculator will be sharing their musical finds.. new and old.. we promise to spend more than 10 min preparing our sets this week.. and try to pull out some good stuff..

growing up as a juvenile delinquent in texas, jeremy rodriguez aka chupacabras, was a big misfits fan. he was subliminally influenced by his fathers hot rod culture and skateboarding. his music knowledge was pretty broad before leaving san francisco in the late 90s for barcelona, but it was there that chupa began djing. at illegal bars and super clubs by night, and working at one of the best record stores in bcn by day (wah wah) jeremy amassed a great collection of records. finally after some crazy personal issues, he made his way to nyc to dj at fancy hotels and crappy bars that wont even give you 2 drink tickets. he also works at the thing on and off for 5 years or more.

william burnett is speculator.. he has alot of records and runs wt records.. he also makes records as willie burns, grackle, galaxy toobin, smackulator, pg&s and more.. he is also a swimming teacher and works at a junk store called the thing.

Anteros & Thanaton is a french duet coming from Paris. They organized for two years their residency RETROGRADE at Chez Moune and Social Club in Paris. They also made a remix for Acid Washed - Change (Record Makers), which was released in september 2011, a remix for Marie Madeleine - Swiming Pool (Ekler'o'shok). Residents chupacabras and speculator doing what they gotta do.

At loreley 64 frost street.. in BK.. free starting at 10.. its a nice beer garden with food if you want it.. and beer and a bar.. and there is outside with picnic table and inside with loud music and toilets.

Entro Senestre (Live) and Rocket Sam

Tonight we have Entro Senestre playing live plus Dj's Rocket Sam and Speculator.

Entro played at the W.T. Records showcase last week in Detroit and apparently killed it. His new record is about to drop and it's a good one. Come see him for free while you can.

Rocket Sam is someone we've tried to get to come dj for the last few months but always has something goin on. Apparently Thursdays aren't for everyone.

Speculator will still be there, Chupacabras is outta town.

Dj Jaclyn Tonight

Oh, you work on Fridays? Not us. Jaclyn has been dj-ing as long as I can remember and can mix pretty dang well. She's played all over town and is a real " New Yorker". She plays all across the board musically, which is just like we like it. Come by say hi, dance, smoke cigarettes, whatever. Stop on by.
